In order to encourage private placement, an on-line interactive
web-site-cum-portal has been set up by the Directorate of Employment and
Training , Chennai 600 004 to develop a data bank of highly qualified,
marketable candidates from the Live Register of the Employment Exchanges
in Tamil Nadu and to allow private sector employers to source their
personnel .
The objectives of this web site are as follows:-
- To develop a Data Bank of highly qualified, marketable candidates
from the Live Register of the Employment Exchanges in Tamil Nadu with
the accent on persons with Professional and technical degrees.
- To allow the private sector employers easy access to this database
to fill up vacancies arising in their establishments and to offer
facilities for screening and short-listing of prospective employees.
- To provide online information on application dead lines, hot track
careers and future trends in employment.
- To publish on the net information on the
seniority of registration upto which candidates are sponsored against vacancies in the Employment
Exchanges.
How do I Access the Job Portal?
The particulars of the candidates already registered in the Professional
and Executive Employment Exchange at Mylapore , Chennai 600 005 has
already been hosted on this portal. Candidates registered up to June,
2003 find their names in this data base. If you are already registered in
the above office you can access the portal by keying in your registration
number and date of birth.
Registration Number will have to be entered in the format 1998M05676,
where 1998 is year of Registration, M indicates Male and 05676 is the
Registration Serial Number. Date of birth will have to be entered in
the format dd/mm/yyyy.
Does it mean that I do not have to go to the
Professional and Executive Employment Exchange (PEEO)_any more for
renewal, addition of qualifications, change of address etc.?
The data base on the job portal is totally a distinct entity . It is only
an added avenue for increasing your placement opportunities. Any
additional qualification or change of address that you want to make at the
Professional and Executive Employment office must be done as is being done
now by going there in person or sending a Xerox or attested copy of your
qualification. Any addition on your resume on the job portals will not be
duplicated on your registration at the employment exchange.
Is their any activity pertaining to the Employment
Exchange that can be performed on the Portal?
Yes registrants of the Professional and Executive Employment office alone
can now renew their registrations at the Employment Exchange through the
Job Portal. But please remember only renewal and renewal alone can be done
through portal.
What sort of employment opportunity can I expect
through the job portal?
Only private sector employment. Once your details are hosted it will be
accessible to private sector employers .
Do I have
to pay any charges?
All services now offered on the portal are absolutely free. Neither the
employer nor you pay for our services.
What
other services can I expect from the Portal?
At present only placement services and renewal services for the
Professional and Executive Employment Exchange registrants
Can I register online? Click Forms in the Home page and download postal
registration form for
registering at Professional and Executive employment exchange. Fill up
the form and send it along with
xerox copies of provisional certificate, community certificate, proof
for date of birth and attested xerox ration card by registered post to
Professional and Executive Employment exchange.
Is there any possibility of registering my additional qualification
online?
Any additional qualification of PEEO registrants can't be registered
online. Send a xerox copy of employment card and provisional certificate
along with a covering letter by registered post to PEEO for
registering your additional
